– Trong 1 số trường hợp, có thể bó bột Cánh – cẳng – bàn tay ôm vai để giữ chắc hơn (3 mặt: trước, ngoài và sau vai được phủ kín bột, tương tự như giới hạn đầu trên của bột Ôm gối ở chân).
Theo đó, người bệnh sẽ được chỉ định thực hiện kỹ thuật bó bột cánh cẳng bàn tay như sau:
– Gẫy xương cẳng tay ở mọi vị trí (gẫy 1 hoặc 2 xương cẳng tay, gẫy mỏm khuỷu, mỏm vẹt, đài quay, chỏm quay, đầu dưới 2 xương cẳng tay…). Riêng gẫy đầu dưới 1 trong 2 xương cẳng tay, gẫy mỏm trâm quay, mỏm trâm trụ có thể bó bột Cẳng – bàn tay cũng được.
– Gẫy trên lồi cầu xương cánh tay hoặc gẫy liên lồi cầu xương cánh tay.
– Trật khớp khuỷu đã nắn.
– Các tổn thương khác vùng khuỷu (chạm thương, bong gân, tổn thương dây chằng, vết thương thấu khớp khuỷu đã XỬ TRÍ phẫu thuật…).
– Các tổn thương viêm nhiễm ở cẳng tay và vùng khuỷu (viêm xương cẳng tay chưa có chỉ định mổ, lao khớp khuỷu).
– Sau 1 số trường hợp phẫu thuật vùng cẳng tay, vùng khuỷu.
Như vậy, có thể thấy rằng bột cánh cẳng bàn tay sẽ được chỉ định cho người bệnh khi thuộc một trong những trường hợp trên.
