1. Định nghĩa thế nào gọi là Sốt:
Thay đổi thân nhiệt là hiện tượng gia tăng nhiệt độ cơ thể cao hơn mức bình thường của nhiệt độ cơ thể người là 36.5–37.5 độ C, hay còn gọi là sốt.
Sốt thường là đáp ứng của cơ thể với một bệnh nhiễm trùng, thường kéo dài hơn 2 đến 3 ngày. Ngoài ra, sốt còn có thể do những bệnh không nhiễm trùng khác, tiếp xúc với nước nóng, tập thể dục, sau tiêm hoặc cũng có thể do khóc nhiều cũng làm tăng thân nhiệt.
Dấu hiệu khác
- Các bệnh truyền nhiễm như cúm, sốt rét, HIV
- Các loại viêm khác nhau như mụn nhọt, trứng cá,…
- Các bệnh tự miễn như lupus đỏ,…
- Cơ thể phản ứng với sự bất tương hợp giữa các nhóm máu
- Các bệnh tiêu hóa như gút hay bệnh ma cà rồng (porphyria)
- Truyền protein lạ vào cơ thể để gây sốt nhầm mục đích điều trị
- Tiêm muối dưới da hay tiêm bắp gây ưu trương dẫn đến hủy hoại tổ chức và gây sốt.
- Mỡ dư thừa chèn vào trung khu thần kinh não bộ gây sốt.
Sốt dai dẳng mà hiện nay y học vẫn chưa tìm được nguyên nhân được gọi là sốt không rõ nguồn gốc.
